A more structured business atmosphere will be created to one side, housing the functional departments, while a more organic, open plan will be formed on the opposing half which will be home to the design departments. Along the way systems will be seen that connect the entire office in unity in a sophisticated, colorful way.

Color will be used to relate public and private spaces and will aid individuals in way finding throughout. Open work zones will create the freedom of creativity and provide gathering places to collaborate. Lighting will add drama while remaining environmentally friendly.

A secondary theme relating to a system of connections that will be noticed within the office is the notion of a spider's web. This opportunistic company was started with a single idea - like the singular thread of silk from the spinnerets of a spider - and has grown into a large enterprise, and like a spider's web, has potential to expand. Since AKT Enterprises is a one-stop-shop, the concept of a spider web represents this continuous idea.
